Who we are
anylocale is operated by superview llc, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. We are the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].
Data we collect
Account data: your email address, your name and your sign-in method (email code or Google account).
Billing data: the plan your organization subscribes to, its status and renewal date, and the identifiers Stripe assigns to your customer and subscription. Card and address details are entered on Stripe's pages and stored by Stripe, not by us.
Organization data: the name of your organization and the email addresses and roles of the team members you invite.
Localization data: the strings files you import, the translations created from them, the glossary and brand voice you configure, the screenshots you upload for context, and the comments your team writes.
Notification settings: the Slack workspace and channels you connect and the email addresses you send notifications to.
Usage data: server logs (IP address, browser, requested pages).
Support data: messages you send us via the support chat or by email.
We do not connect to any app store, and we neither collect store reviews nor hold store credentials.
Why we process your data
We process your data to provide the service: importing your strings, translating them, running quality checks, delivering verified strings to your app and sending the notifications you configure. We also process it to keep the service secure, to comply with legal obligations and, only with your consent, to send you occasional product emails. Where the GDPR applies, the legal bases are performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)), legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) and consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
Your strings and AI
The strings you import are yours. For them you are the controller and we act as your processor: we store and process them only to provide the service and follow your instructions.
To translate your strings we send the relevant text, and the glossary and screenshots you provided as context, to AI providers. They process it only to return the result and under agreements that do not allow them to use it to train their models. AI output is a suggestion: nothing is delivered to your users unless you, or a rule you configured, approve it.
If your strings contain personal data, you decide that by what you import. Consider whether they need to.
Service providers
We use a small number of specialized providers to run anylocale: hosting and database infrastructure in Germany, encrypted backups, a content delivery and security network, an email delivery service, AI providers for translation, a sign-in provider, a support chat service and, if you connect it, Slack.
Payments are handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland, and Stripe, Inc., United States). Stripe receives the billing name, email address, billing address, VAT ID and card details you enter at checkout and calculates the applicable VAT. We never see or store card details; we keep only Stripe's identifiers for your customer and subscription, the plan, its status and the renewal date. Transfers to Stripe, Inc. are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.
These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. You can request the current list of providers at [email protected].
Cookies
We use only cookies that are necessary to run the service: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. Your theme preference is stored in your browser, not in a cookie. The support chat sets its own cookies when you open it. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Where your data is stored
Your data is hosted on servers in Germany, with daily encrypted backups. Some of our providers process data in the United States or other countries; where they do, transfers are covered by safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Backups are rotated automatically. If you want your account deleted, contact us at [email protected]; we then delete or anonymize your data unless we are legally required to keep it. Deleting a project removes its strings and translations.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you have the right to access, correct, delete and export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Emails
We send transactional emails you asked for: sign-in codes, invitations, and the notifications you configured, each of which you can switch off in your settings. We occasionally send product emails to users who signed up. Every product email contains an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribes immediately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The current version is always available on this page; the date above shows when it was last changed.
