What the glossary costs.

Where anylocale is different.

  • Every language, one price

Lokalise Explorer covers 10 languages. anylocale never counts them: the fortieth language costs what the second did.

  • A glossary from the first plan

Drafts follow your glossary, exact translation-memory matches, each key's description and its length limit. On Lokalise, glossary and translation memory start at Growth.

  • Checked on every save

Five checks run on every save: placeholders, length, terms, consistency and missing strings. Only strings a person has verified go out over the air.

  • One catalog for iOS and Android

Keys are shared by both apps unless you tag them for one. .xcstrings, .strings with .stringsdict, and strings.xml round-trip with plurals and placeholders intact.

    Every format
  • Made for CI and coding agents

A CLI, an HTTP API and an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, all on every plan.

    The MCP server
  • Translators can stay in Excel

Export one language as CSV, hand it over, and import the result. Rows are matched by key and plural category.

Where Lokalise is the better fit.

Lokalise covers more than an app's strings. If you need any of this, it's worth what it costs.

  • Documents and web content: Office documents, PDF and HTML files alongside your strings.
  • In-context editing and screenshots for translators, on Growth and above.
  • Integrations with tools like Figma, GitHub, Jira, Contentful, Webflow and WordPress.
  • An Enterprise plan with a dedicated success manager and workflow audits.

Moving over from Lokalise.

Your app's files carry the keys, every language, plurals and any descriptions kept as comments.

  1. Step 1: Download your files from Lokalise

Export the project in the format your app ships: an .xcstrings catalog, .lproj folders with .strings and .stringsdict, or Android values folders with strings.xml. Include every language.

  2. Step 2: Drop them into anylocale

Create a project and drop the catalog or the folder onto the import. Every language comes across in one step, with plurals and placeholders intact.

  3. Step 3: Let the AI fill the gaps

Coverage shows what each language still lacks. AI drafts the missing strings against your glossary, for a person on your team to verify.

Questions

How much does anylocale cost compared with Lokalise?
anylocale Starter is $29/month, or $24/month billed yearly, with every language and the glossary included. Lokalise Explorer is $169/month, or $149/month billed yearly, covers 10 languages, and adds the glossary and translation memory from Growth at $379/month billed yearly. Lokalise's figures are from its pricing page on November 3, 2026.Pricing
Can I import my Lokalise project?
Yes, through your app's files: export from Lokalise as an .xcstrings catalog, .lproj folders or Android values folders, drop them onto the import, and every language comes across. A direct import from a Lokalise project is planned, not shipped.
Does anylocale have a glossary and translation memory?
Both, on every plan. The translation memory reuses exact matches from the same project; similar-text matching isn't there yet. AI drafts use the glossary, those matches and each key's length limit, and a term marked do-not-translate stays exactly as written.
Which file formats does it read and write?
.xcstrings, .strings and .stringsdict for iOS, strings.xml for Android, and JSON, next-intl messages and CSV.Integrations
Is anylocale only for mobile apps?
It's built around app strings. JSON and next-intl cover web apps too, but it doesn't translate documents or website content the way Lokalise does.
Who decides what ships?
A person on your team. AI drafts are stored unverified, five checks run on every save, and only strings someone has marked verified are served over the air.
